fionn If the thread gets buried, it is the applicant's fault for not harassing enough people to go vote on it?
StevenNL2000 If the thread gets buried it should be the applicant's responsibility to bump the post.
fionn
What if the applicant gets shouted at for bumping the post?
Also I think you should clarify the rights the OP has but more simpler
(This is not a joke btw, I've seen OPs get shouted at for bumping the post)
fionn It just seems so absurdly arbitrary. By your own logic wouldn't it make sense to widen the gap between senior and Admin, considering there's a measly 5% difference in requirement for each position?
Miwojedk That 5% is approximately 10 more vouches
elmon None of the applications (5) insofar as this forum is concerned has a vote tally above 25. Mind answering my question?
Miwojedk
Mine does. 45.
elmon How many votes did you use to work it out?
Miwojedk All of these numbers are trial numbers, we're trying these numbers out and we'll adjust them thusly. Although, 1 of the 2 current applications does have 25 votes, and the previous senior apps were made at a time when these forums were not as populated as they are now.
wxtermelon im talking senior
fionn this is why i did % of votes, not total number of votes needed (:
fionn Does a "neutral"-comment count as a vote? And I don't know which of the current applications have 25 votes, unless you do indeed count "neutral"-comments as votes.
Miwojedk He said neutral doesn't count as a vote (which I don't agree with), and I believe redeastwood may have 25 votes on his application but I haven't checked to see if that takes into account neutrals and general comments.
Darth He doesn't
Apologies for the bump but can this be stickied to admin applications section? Some of the info here also needs to be updated..
wxtermelon In progress, as is already public knowledge i’m in the process of rewriting this whole thing
I agree this thread should be stickied by forum admins. How many people actually knew, for example, that neutral votes were removed?
Have Stickied this thread while it is still current (It is in the process of being redone and re written)
Updated the portion regarding recommendations as per Ryan’s approval note in this suggestion.
For transparency, this is what the section originally said:
@fionn Recommendations will do nothing in favor of your vote, however are required if you wish to proceed with the application process. 1 recommendation is required for Admin 2 recommendations are required for seniors.
I have decreased the application threshold down to 75% for admin applications and reinstatement applications. Just for the record, the threshold was previously 85%.
