If you wish to be considered for return from an Indefinite Suspension on Total Freedom, please post a message with the subject "Indefinite suspension return - name"
This policy applies to all former staff seeking reinstatement from an indefinite suspension. Before applying for reinstatement, you must complete the following steps in the order they are listed:
Post a thread in General Discussion announcing of your attempted return. In the thread, you must explain why you were sanctioned and removed from your rank. Try to not leave any details out. State your reason for attempting to rejoin.
Note: We realize many months or years can go by while being suspended. Many changes can happen at this time. This thread to ensure people who may not know the entire situation can be informed.
Note: If you feel you were incorrectly suspended in the past, you may state it here with any proof you can find. The staff team will begin an investigation. This is not meant to cause drama. Only state facts. If you are found to be incorrectly suspended; you will be notified and be expedited to step 2.
I. Try your best to be completely honest and transparent. Being indefinitely suspended is one of the most severe punishments a staff member can receive. Total Freedom and its members are under no obligation to remove your suspension or reinstate you to your rank.
Note: Apologies are not required but extremely recommended. If you do post an apology try your best to be genuine and sincere.
II. This thread will be open for 2 weeks you will now be put on the "waiting period." All members are welcome to comment on their thoughts on the situation. All members are also allowed to ask questions which you must respond to respectfully. Staff members will be alerted of your attempted return and asked to keep an extra-strong eye on you. It is advised you attempt to make amends with those you wronged.
Once 2 weeks end, and there are no problems or concerns with your character you will be removed from the "waiting period." You are now free to post a reinstatement request when you feel ready. This reinstatement differs from regular reinstatement.
I. This reinstatement request will be open for a minimum of 1 week. It may be denied or extended at any time if concerns do appear.
II. All members are allowed to vouch or object. All members are allowed to ask questions which you must respond to respectfully.
Note: The newly implemented points system does not apply to reinstatements or Indefinite staff suspension appeals.
III. You must reach a 65% approval rate at the end of the 2 weeks your thread will be locked and you will be reinstated to Moderator. You may be granted the ability to quickly move up to your previous rank if you prove you have changed. Your active participation streak will start now.
IIII. If you are denied for any reason, you may apply again in a month.
How will misconduct by players using this policy be dealt with?
While this policy is in place to make sure those returning from indefinite suspensions will not repeat the past, nobody is perfect. Under most circumstances, minor and/or accidental rule breakings will not automatically disqualify you from this policy. However, if it becomes a repeated problem or there was any intentional misconduct, you will be disqualified and must start again from step 1.
If you were perm banned for your actions during your staffing tenure, you must follow these guidelines before attempting to return.
The former staff wishing to return must wait an additional 3 months before even attempting to reinstate with the policy above. The procedure will act exactly as a normal permaban release request, and you must be approved before attempting to reinstate.
Applications posted without completing these steps will be automatically denied.
Indefinite suspensions reinstatements are different from staff permban reinstatements.
An indefinite suspension does not mean you are suspended forever, just as a permban does not mean you are banned forever.
